eXs-V Digital Drive Unit

The new Digital Drive Unit brings more to selected Canon UHDxs lenses, exceeding the high standards demanded by professionals. Thanks to improved servo control, a repositioned information display and USB-C connectivity for easier set-up and maintenance, the eXs-V drive enhances the current and future lineup of portable broadcast lenses.

Improved servo performance

A faster servo than the previous drive unit allows for a more responsive iris, which, along with the renowned focus and zoom speeds, making the eXs-V drive optimised for sports broadcasts and live events.
Re-engineered design

An intuitive grip matches the shape of a hand for comfortable support during longer periods, while a repositioned display on the top of the unit gives better visibility when shooting.
Remote extender support

When shooting remotely from a crane or other device, the extender can be controlled from the operator via an optional switch box.
Support Virtual Systems and Remote Control

The new drive unit has multiple interfaces for remote shooting plus a high resolution 16-bit encoder for accurate lens data output.
Improved ergonomics

Three 20-pin connectors, with one conveniently placed diagonally across the rear, ensures easier integration with other connections, such as Canon zoom and focus demands.
